Training Practice

The Practice Trainers are Tim Walter and Ruth Lambert.

Tim Walter was approved for training in 2007 having obtained the Certificate of Medical Education with the Oxford Deanery, and has had a variety of trainees since then. He has also been involved in the first wave of GP Nurse training on the Pilot scheme and was on the GPN steering committee.

Ruth Lambert has completed the Certificate of Medical Education with the Oxford Deanery in 2018, and will be welcoming her first trainee in August 2018. She is currently mentoring the practice pharmacist on her prescribing qualification.

The practice has a strong ethos of training and we believe in a whole practice approach to training. All of the clinicians are involved in providing joint surgeries and tutorials. Previous trainees have commented on how beneficial they have found this approach to gaining a varied exposure to General Practice.

Previous Trainees and the VTS have rated Falkland Surgery Training as “Excellent”.
